HOUSTON'S TRUSTED SOURCE FOR ZAHIDI DATE PALMS
Zahidi Date Palm (phoenix dactylifera zahidi) display a dense green canopy of fronds that tend to stand in a more vertical fashion. Very thick trunk caliper.
Zahidi's can grow as tall as 70' and even taller in the desert. They have a very slow growth rate and is slowed further by our humid conditions. It is best to buy palms near or slightly below the size you need. After establishment, you can expect a foot of new trunk every two to four years.
