The Mediterranean Fan Palm (Chamaerops humilis) is the the hardiest (most resistant to weather conditions) of all the palms. Mediterranean Fan Palms can grow up to 20 feet tall, but has a low canopy and suitable for planting under power lines (for example). Each Mediterranean Fan has a unique shape of trunk growth which makes each one different and beautiful!
The Mediterranean Fan a relatively low maintenance shrub and looks great without pruning, although it will tolerate pruning.
